Free Pregnancy Testing & Pre-Natal Care Frequently
Asked Questions: Can I really have a pregnancy test through the Internet?
Where do I put the specimen?
Well, not quite. Unfortunately pregnancy testing through the
computer is still a thing of the future. But you can have the
next best thing. A free pregnancy test at a private specialist’s
office, without having to visit a clinic or a family practice
physician.
How does the free pregnancy test work?
If you are not already a patient of an Omni provider, phone
our administrative office at (559) 495-3120 and we can set up an
appointment for you. When you visit the office, you will give a
urine sample and get your results within five minutes.
What happens if the pregnancy test is positive?
You will be offered an opportunity to start prenatal care
immediately. Nutritional information, including access to prenatal vitamins, and future physician appointments are covered during the visit. Ultrasound appointments and access to Child Birth Education classes will be discussed during your appointments throughout your pregnancy.
How much does it cost to start prenatal care?
Omni Women's' Health accepts most insurance plans in Fresno.
Your total out of pocket expense depends on the deductible and
the co-pay, as indicated on your insurance card.
I have no medical insurance. Can I still get prenatal care?
Yes. Our staff will analyze your financial situation, and
will identify a plan to suit your individual situation. Some of
the available plans are completely free of charge, others, such
as AIM, require as much as a $50 activation fee – depending on
your income.
I don’t think I’m pregnant, and I don’t want to have a baby
now. Do you provide birth control too?
Yes. We offer a full range of birth control options,
including the pill, contraceptive injections, IUD, and
sterilization. Go to our birth control
webpage for more information.
I need birth control, but I have no insurance. How much would
it cost?
Depending on your income, you may be eligible for a plan
covering different methods of birth control for you. If you
qualify, it would cost you nothing.
